Long hikes are hard to tell in photographs: there are too many, and none of them shows the route. The track does — the whole circuit on one sheet, every pass crossed, every valley walked, day after day.
Multi-day tracks are fine, including gzipped GPX files (.gpx.gz).
Hiking poster generated from a GPS track — Tour du Mont Blanc
MapRender reads the track from your watch or app and composes a poster around it. Pick the palette — relief, forest, old paper — set how much map detail you want, and add the text that matters: dates, stages, the huts you slept in.
No file to hand? Five well-known routes ship with the app, including the Tour du Mont Blanc and the GR 20, so you can see the result straight away. The download is a 300 dpi PNG, ready to print from A2 down to A5.
